On the Indonesian island Sumatra, there was a big paragliding event in Mai at Lake Maninjau. Two NOVA Team Pilots, Peter Ertle and Claudio Aimone were there to enjoy the the foreign culture and the flying. They took some pictures worth sharing, and wrote an interesting report about the event as well as about the flying at Lake Maninjau. If you are curious about flying in Indonesia or if you are even considering to visit this place, you should have a closer look at their report. (download here) Here is a selection of some pictures they sent us: Thanks for these impressions and for the nice report! ![]() TRITON above Lake Maninjau ![]() Launching into sunset with the IBEX ![]() Lunch ![]() Claudio and Peter enjoying indonesian beer after lunch :-) |

Impressions from Coupe Icare in St. Hilaire:![]() Big crowed watching the costume flying parade. ![]() Crowded Nova tent thanks of Raúl Rodriguez and free sangria. :-) ![]() Raúl, Toni and Hannes reporting about planned projects and future acro gliders. ![]() Hannes explains Raúl how to tumbl :-) ![]() Raúl with a new 12sqm Acro Proto in the center of attraction. ![]() Right after take-off he flyes a rhytmic Sat with the new wing. ![]() The trim was to fast on the first flight, so even Raúl had problems to keep the canopy clean below him. :-) ![]() The first landing with the new glider. On the next day Raúl showed perfect Infinity Tumblings with the same wing. ![]() When it was dark, we played on the training hill with Raúls new toy. It's pretty fast at launch! ![]() One of our pre-serial wings thermalling close to the wall. ![]() ![]() Allmost touching with the wingtips. ![]() morning in St. Hilaire Photos: Mario Eder (www.mario-eder.at) |
