A piece of paragliding history.

The NOVA PHILOU classic is a piece of paragliding history. For several years now this has been the preferred introductory glider of many paragliding instructors. A great number of new pilots came to know the freedom of flying on this wing, and benefited from its reliability. No other glider has ever stood the test of time so well, and reached such good sales as the NOVA PHILOU.

Even after five years in production the popularity of this wing has not declined. The advantages and unique handling characteristics of the PHILOU make it especially attractive for pilots who want an uncompromising glider that has been fully tried and tested. Due to its ease of launching, and more importantly, it's excellent reaction to asymmetric collapses, this glider has become the reference for beginner wings.

In 1999, to celebrate its fifth birthday, the NOVA PHILOU will be available with a new design, separate risers and new backpack.

Until now, because of its extraordinary stability, it was hardly possible to collapse the wingtips of the NOVA PHILOU in order to "big-ear" the glider on descent.

With the new feature of separate risers this manoeuvre is now much easier. The two front risers on each side (marked in red) are connected to each other with a push-button fastener, so as not obstruct all-round vision on take-off. During the flight the risers can be easily separated and the front A-riser pulled down. With the wingtips drawn down, the NOVA PHILOU achieves a quick and stable descent. So as to boost this effect the pilot can also activate the speed system. Colour information and technical data is enclosed.
