Mario Eder grew up in the Alps of Tyrol. He started paragliding as a teenager, in order to save himself the descent after climbing the mountains. His enthusiasm for flying grew steadily and after a couple of years Mario was able to make his hobby into his occupation by becoming a test pilot.

In 1998 he joined Nova, where he soon made his mark as our main test pilot.

In 2008 Mario and Nova parted ways and followed different paths for a while. Since 2011 Mario, whose notable experience as a test pilot is outstanding in the paragliding community, is again a fixed component of the development team again.

Mario is not only a good pilot, but distinguishes himself through his technical knowledge and skills, he is tireless in his persuit for perfection!

Apart from sports like snowboarding and kiting, Mario is also a talented photographer. At Nova he is able to combine testing with photography, to capture the stunning views/moments he experiences, for your enjoyment.
